Sports and Recreation in Memphis
Memphis has a world-class zoo, several golf courses, soccer, football, baseball and more. The Memphis NBA team, the Grizzlies, and the University of Tennessee Tigers both play home games in Memphis, as well as the Memphis Redbirds, a minor-league baseball team.
Shelby Farms Park is the largest park within any city limits in the USA - even bigger than Central Park New York. In 2011, the Memphis Greenline, a dedicated bicycle trail, was completed and links midtown Memphis to Shelby Farms by bicycle. Numerous bicycle lanes have also been installed under Mayor AC Wharton's "A City of Choice" campaign.
